GitLab is hiring an experienced Sr Manager, Technical Program Management to lead a growing TPM team within our Engineering org. You will partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align staffing with high-priority programs and drive successful delivery for customers.

You will shape the PMO's future, establish planning cadences, and build scalable processes while mentoring TPMs across levels. This full-time remote role offers opportunities to influence cross-functional programs and drive

Qualifications

• Experience as a people manager and as an IC TPM, ideally with seniority.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate work effectively.
• Proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience developing and executing strategic team development plans.
• Ability to coach others on cross-functional product-driven initiatives without direct program control.
• Proven ability to position the team as trusted partners and thought leaders.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers across multiple areas.
• Staff and resource TPMs in alignment with PMO strategy and business objectives.
• Align TPM assignments with company priorities and product roadmap.
• Develop and maintain program mgmt standards, docs, plans, reports, and post-mortems.
• Shape long-term strategy for the PMO and hiring growth within TPM.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Product, Security, and GTM teams.
• Identify risks, resolve conflicts, and remove obstacles for timely delivery.
• Set KPIs for programs and team members and ensure commitments are met.
• Lead strategic planning affecting staffing, timelines, and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate GitLab CREDIT values and leadership expected of managers.
