ZSA Legal Recruitment is assisting a Windsor-based personal injury law firm in finding a Legal Assistant to support lawyers in daily litigation administration. The role focuses on preparing documents, scheduling, and communicating with clients and insurers.

The ideal candidate has five years' tort litigation experience, knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure, and strong organizational and typing skills. Competitive compensation ($55,000–$80,000) and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Five years’ experience as an tort litigation assistant.
• Knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good computer skills including proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
• Exceptionally strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic typing speed (40-50 wpm).
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Capable of working in a fast paced and demanding environment.
• Knowledge of Filevine and Tracument is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft and revise correspondence and other documents related litigation.
• Communicate professionally with clients, insurance adjusters, experts and lawyers’ offices.
• Scheduling examinations for discovery, mediation and court appearances.
• Preparing drafts of various pleadings, orders, and other court documents.
• Compiling briefs and other documents.
• Filing.
• Managing Lawyers’ calendars.
• Other duties as required.
