We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated Senior Telecom Engineer to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in downtown Toronto, ON.

Accountabilities

1. Manage Telecoms work package with top-down oversight throughout the entire execution to ensure success, adhering to scope, budget, and timeline standards.
2. Develop comprehensive project plans that align customer requirements with company goals during all project phases, from initial development through implementation.
3. Monitor project progress continuously and prepare detailed scheduled reports on milestones and deliverables for senior management.
4. Assign and oversee daily tasks of technical personnel, ensuring active progress toward milestones.
5. Hold regular technical team meetings to assess progress and address project questions or challenges.
6. Define clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for staff members involved in specific projects or initiatives.
7. Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options, conducting cost/benefit analyses.
8. Oversee installation, update, and maintenance of all production technologies, ensuring proper upkeep.

Required Skills & Experience

• PENG certification
• BIM expertise
• Professional Project Management Certification from an accredited institution (preferred)
• Understanding of project management processes, strategies, and methods
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with experience establishing guidelines in these areas
• Strong sense of personal accountability in decision-making and team supervision
• Experience working collaboratively in high-level environments, promoting teamwork
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with managerial experience
• Ability to proactively identify and mitigate challenges
• Knowledge of communication engineering principles, including radio frequency allocations, electromagnetic wave propagation, and RF measurements
• Knowledge of fiber optics, digital communications, hardware, and software related to radio communications
• Understanding of complex wired and wireless network design

Desired Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of railway industry telecom systems
• Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or IT degree
• At least 2+ years of railway system engineering experience
