Job summary

WSP in Canada is seeking a Senior Technical Manager for Bridges and Civil Structures in Ontario. Lead multidisciplinary teams, influence major infrastructure decisions and deliver safe, connected transportation solutions across highways and rail networks.

You will oversee inspections and rehabilitation strategies, drive innovation with digital methods, and mentor engineers while representing the firm in client engagements and industry groups.

Qualifications

• P.Eng. in Ontario with a civil/structural engineering degree; master's/PhD preferred.
• 10–20 years of bridge engineering experience with leadership on major projects.
• Expertise in CSIBridge, MIDAS and CAN/CSA-S6 standards.
• Experience with Design-Build/P3 and BIM tools.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop proposals and budgets.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario, with a bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 10–20 years of experience in bridge engineering, including leadership on major transportation projects.
• Expertise in structural analysis software (e.g., CSIBridge, MIDAS) and advanced knowledge of CAN/CSA‑S6 standards.
• Proven track record in Design‑Build/P3 projects and familiarity with MTO CPS/HICO and BIM tools.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop proposals, manage budgets, and deliver client value.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $162,200 – $212,200

MB & ON: $148,000 – $198,000

Atlantic Provinces & QC: $146,500 – $194,600

The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance and business or organizational needs.
