Qualifications

• University and/or Community College diploma in a computer technology program.
• Strong customer-service orientation is essential.
• Excellent attendance and discipline-free record required.
• Advanced Sr. level technical experience in Microsoft server administration, MS SQL, VMware, Cisco switches/cores/ASAs and storage networks.
• Cisco CCIE designation is required.
• Understanding of equity, diversity and inclusion principles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Proactively plans, creates, builds and manages the Technical Support component within IS&T.
• Provides advice to CTO and Manager on major project priorities.
• Understands hospital data needs and liaises with Telecommunications Manager and developers.
• Delivers integrated, cost-effective information systems technology solutions.
• Ensures security and integrity controls across technical areas.
• Provides senior-level technical support, troubleshooting and incident management for backend systems.
• Oversees data administration, integrity, security, storage and disaster recovery.
• Supports continuous improvement of services and coaches staff.
• Builds and maintains a strong technical team and provides training as needed.
• Manages vendor relationships and contracts to maximize ROI.
