Job summary

Humber River Health is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to join the Information Systems & Telecommunications team in Toronto. You will deliver third level support, analyze and resolve infrastructure server hardware/software and application issues for staff, physicians and volunteers in a timely and courteous manner.

Qualifications

• University or community college diploma in computer technology.
• Strong customer-service orientation essential.
• Excellent attendance and discipline-free record.
• Strong Sr. level technical experience in Microsoft server administration, MS SQL, VMware, Cisco switches/cores/ASA Firewalls/Intrusion Prevention and Detection, Storage Area Networks.

Responsibilities

• Proactively plans, creates, builds and manages the Technical Support component within the Information Systems & Telecommunications department.
• Provides advice and recommendations to the CTO and Manager relative to major project priorities.
• Understands hospital data and information needs and liaises with Telecommunications Manager, IS Applications Analysts, and Developers.
• Provides secure, integrated and cost-effective information systems technology solutions.
• Ensures all Technical areas have security and integrity controls.
• Provides advanced Sr. level Technical support, troubleshooting and Incident Management for backend systems IT integration.
• Oversees administration, integrity, security, storage and disaster recovery of data.
• Supports continuous improvement of IT services and trains staff as needed.
• Establishes vendor relationships and contractual terms to maximize ROI.
• Represents the Hospital on Technical matters to external contacts.
