Job summary

Manitoba Government is seeking a Senior Technical Analyst to support and optimize infrastructure services, including servers, networks, cloud services, and databases. Reporting to the DTS Service Manager, you will ensure performance, availability, and reliability while resolving issues and implementing changes to meet service levels.

Essential qualifications include a IT-related post-secondary education, extensive infrastructure experience, security controls, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Extensive experience supporting infrastructure services such as servers, networks, cloud environments, or databases.
  • Experience applying information security principles and security controls to maintain confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems.
  • Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting operating systems and infrastructure software.
  • Experience assessing, implementing, and managing system changes using established change management processes.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts, provide updates, and communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical documentation, procedures, reports, and correspondence in a clear, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, coordinate competing priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues, identify root causes, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships, collaborating effectively with technical teams, business partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
