Equinox Engineering Ltd. is a Calgary-based EPCM firm specializing in oil and gas processing, including facilities design, implementation, and operational support for natural gas, conventional, and heavy oil projects. Our clients include major oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide. We are currently executing various projects in sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil facilities, and pipelines.
We are seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review applications and manage interview processes.
- Request references and assess applicant suitability.
- Brief candidates on job responsibilities, salary, and benefits.
- Communicate interview outcomes to candidates.
- Negotiate compensation and finalize arrangements between clients and candidates.
- Provide comprehensive full-cycle recruiting services.
- Manage communications with hiring managers.
- Handle inbound calls and email inquiries/resumes.
- Conduct screening, interviews, and reference checks.
- Maintain updated job listings through regular liaison with the supervisor.
- Implement recruiting strategies including networking, database marketing, headhunting, and referrals.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers across departments.
- Assist in creating authorization to hire and preparing employment contracts.
Key Skills :
- Proficient with social media recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, SEEK, Facebook, Twitter, and others.
- Strong knowledge of the Calgary oil and gas industry and existing contacts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Teamwork-oriented.
Education and Qualifications :
- Post-secondary education, preferably in Human Resources or Recruiting.
- 10+ years of recruiting experience preferred.
- Experience with phone screening, interviewing, reference checking, and using external job boards and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Familiarity with the oil and gas market and EPCM segment is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.
