The role partners with business leaders to understand priorities, develop recruitment strategies, and connect exceptional talent with meaningful career opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on workforce planning and market intelligence.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and significant experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, business development, or related advisory role.
• Experience managing full-cycle recruitment mandates in large/complex organizations.
• Expertise in candidate assessment, competency-based interviewing, and talent evaluation methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment technologies and labour market trends.
• Experience advising leaders and developing talent strategies for growth.
• Experience recruiting within financial services, commercial banking, wealth management, or similar environments.

In this role, you will have a positive impact on the organization through your expertise in talent acquisition, recruitment strategy, candidate assessment, workforce planning, and market intelligence.

You will partner closely with business leaders across Western Canada to understand talent priorities, identify future workforce needs, and develop effective recruitment strategies that support business success. Your ability to connect exceptional talent with meaningful career opportunities will contribute directly to the growth and performance of our teams.

Your role

• Advise hiring managers and business leaders on talent acquisition strategies aligned with workforce and business objectives.
• Lead the full recruitment lifecycle, from intake discussions and sourcing strategies to candidate assessment, offer management, and onboarding support.
• Develop innovative attraction initiatives to identify, engage, and hire highly qualified professionals and leaders.
• Evaluate candidates through structured interviews and provide recommendations based on experience, competencies, and business needs.
• Analyze labour market trends, compensation data, and talent availability to support informed hiring decisions.
• Collaborate with human resources partners and key stakeholders to continuously improve recruitment practices, workforce planning initiatives, and employer branding efforts.

The Commercial Banking and Private Banking 1859 sector is composed of dedicated specialists who work collaboratively in an agile, proactive, and client-focused environment to support the continued growth of National Bank.

Within the Talent Acquisition team, you are part of a specialized group of recruitment professionals supporting a variety of business lines across Western Canada. You report to the Talent Acquisition leadership team. Our team stands out through its strategic advisory approach, strong market expertise, collaborative mindset, and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for candidates and hiring managers.

You will work with leaders across Commercial Banking, Private Banking 1859, Credit, Cash Management, Financing Solutions, and other specialized sectors. Your expertise will help build high-performing teams while contributing to the organization's long-term success.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field and significant experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, business development, or a comparable advisory role.
• Demonstrate experience managing full-cycle recruitment mandates within a large or complex organization.
• Possess expertise in candidate assessment, competency-based interviewing, and talent evaluation methodologies.
• Have strong knowledge of recruitment technologies, applicant tracking systems and labour market trends.
• Demonstrate experience advising business leaders and developing talent acquisition strategies that support organizational growth.
• Have experience recruiting within financial services, commercial banking, wealth management, professional services, or a similar business environment.
