GlassHouse Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to lead hands‑on infrastructure efforts and mentor the IT team across internal and managed services environments. The role includes serving as the technical escalation point for complex incidents, guiding security, backups, and cloud strategies.

You will support hybrid infrastructure across on‑premises, Microsoft 365, Azure, and other cloud platforms, with three days a week in the Toronto office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive infrastructure administration within enterprise IT or Managed Services environments.
• Strong administration experience across enterprise Windows Server and Linux environments, including physical, virtual, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
• In-depth experience with server patching, compliance, and lifecycle management using WSUS, SCCM/MECM, BigFix, or equivalent enterprise management platforms.
• Strong VMware vSphere, Hyper‑V, backup, and disaster recovery experience, including clustering and HA environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAN/NAS storage, Fibre Channel concepts, and core networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, FTP, SFTP).

Responsabilités

• Design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure for internal IT and Managed Services clients.
• Ensure infrastructure availability, reliability, security, and performance through proactive monitoring and capacity management.
• Plan and execute OS upgrades, security patches, and lifecycle activities using enterprise tools.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and asset inventories.
• Lead root cause analysis for major incidents and coordinate escalations with vendors and clients.
