Job summary

Project X Ltd. in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Consultant, IT Systems Administrator to join the Technical Enablement team.

The role focuses on monitoring, maintenance, deployment, and documentation of hardware, apps and systems for the company and clients. You will address daily support issues, monitor networks and servers, enforce security standards, and collaborate with Developers to deliver IT solutions on client sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in a technology-related field required.
• Around 3+ years’ experience as an IT Support Specialist or Systems Administrator.
• Must have experience with Snowflake and Airflow.
• Experience with cloud technologies – AWS.
• Experience with deployment, configuration, maintenance and support of data/Analytics applications.
• Experience with containerisation platforms.
• Windows, Linux, macOS, Unix, security and policy experience.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls.

Responsibilities

• Provide Internal Support & Hardware Management for laptops, desktops, mobile devices, VOIP, printers, and projectors at HQ and client sites.
• Configure and maintain core local and cloud services & applications such as file sharing, email, licensing, tools, and production.
• Deploy, configure, and manage container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) for stable environments.
• Provide technical support to all employee devices on supported platforms daily.
• Set up devices for new and existing employees (VOIP, Microsoft Office, Slack, etc.).
• Improve IT processes and workflows (ticketing, escalation, etc.).
• Participate in projects and plan future IT developments with Developers for client sites.
• Administer and deploy server infrastructure and databases with minimal support.
• Monitor daily networks and cloud systems; implement preventive security measures.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software conformity and security.
• Manage services for internal and client environments and applications.
