illumin is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Operations team in Toronto. This senior, hands-on role focuses on Linux, virtualization, Kubernetes, storage, automation, and production troubleshooting to support global operations.

You will be a technical escalation point and collaborate across DevOps, Network, DBA, Security, and application teams. The ideal candidate has 8-10+ years of experience, CK A certification and ITIL Foundations, and a proven track record in

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux systems administration with Windows Server knowledge.
• Hands-on VMware vSphere/ESXi and storage experience.
• Experience deploying and debugging production Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong automation skills in Python, Ansible and Bash.
• Ability to work across on-prem, co-location and hybrid environments.

Responsabilités

• Serve as senior escalation point for Linux systems and infra issues.
• Operate and optimize VMware and virtualization platforms.
• Manage on-prem, co-location, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Deploy and troubleshoot server hardware and storage.
• Lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Collaborate with DevOps, Network, DBA, Security and apps teams.
