Job summary

Elexicon Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior System Operator to lead the System Control Centre team and oversee the SCC Work Coordinating System. You will guide operators, ensure scheduling integrity, and monitor grid conditions with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will work within PWU terms and collaborate with leadership to improve service delivery, reporting, and operational records while developing staff in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Electronics Technology degree or equivalent.
• Regulatory and safety knowledge including UWPC and IESO rules.
• Minimum seven years in an electrical utility setting required.

Responsibilities

• Lead System Operators to ensure proper job scheduling and grid reliability.
• Maintain SCC work coordination system and tooling, including OMS/SCADA/ADMS.
• Prepare reports and communicate status to clients and leadership.
• Ensure safe work practices per IHSA and PWU collective agreement.

Skills

7+ years electrical utility experience

SCADA experience

Excellent verbal and written skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education

OACETT certification preferred
