Job summary

Elexicon Energy in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a System Control Centre Trainer to develop and deliver the SCC training curriculum for System Operator Apprentices. You will guide learners from onboarding through exam readiness, coordinating in-person, virtual, and e-learning sessions.

The role requires expertise in training design, a strong coaching approach, and familiarity with MEARIE requirements; a CTDP designation is an asset. This is a contract opportunity with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Power Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
• Experience delivering technical/operational training, preferably in utilities.
• Familiarity with UWPC/EUSR requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain SCC training curriculum and deliver sessions across in-person, virtual, and e-learning formats.
• Coach System Operator Apprentices through milestones and provide remediation as needed.
• Coordinate on-the-job shadowing and sign-offs with the SCC Supervisor.
• Update curriculum based on SOP/P&P changes, system upgrades, or regulatory changes.
• Track enrollment, attendance, and completion; support certification records.
