About the Company

Our IT Solutions provide small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with End-to-End IT services. We are expanding our team by seeking an IT Specialist to support, onboard, and maintain the systems of our clients. Our services include on-site and remote support, email, hardware maintenance, server support, managed networks, managed endpoints, cloud security, backup, disaster recovery, and business voice services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and interpersonal skills, experience in client-facing environments, a collaborative mindset, a willingness to learn, and excellent communication skills.

About the Role

This position is based at our Head Office. The successful candidate will triage, assess, and resolve IT requests, handle advanced issues, and collaborate with the team to find solutions. Flexibility to work in various roles within the IT support group is required.

Responsibilities

1. Administer, monitor, and troubleshoot a range of IT systems including desktops, servers, networking, storage, and mobile devices.
2. Manage backup, disaster recovery, remote connectivity, and security solutions, including firewall and network security management.
3. Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues.
4. Stay updated on IT products and communicate this knowledge to clients.
5. Understand the IT services used by clients.
6. Create and update standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

1. BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
2. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent is an asset.
3. 7-10 years of experience with MS Windows servers and products.
4. Proficiency in managing and configuring Microsoft solutions, including Azure.
5. Experience with databases, LAN/WAN networks, and patch management.
6. Ability to configure server hardware and perform server switchovers.
7. Knowledge of backup and recovery software and methodologies.
8. Recent experience in desktop and customer support environments.
9. Strong understanding of server infrastructure management and monitoring.
10. Project management skills for server configuration, data migration, and user training.
11. Ability to produce detailed documentation and reports.
12. Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
13. Valid driver’s license and legal eligibility to work in Canada are required.
