Job summary

Applicants must hold National Lifeguard, SFA CPR-C, and have 3+ years of teaching experience. The role also requires a professional demeanor and collaborative teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid National Lifeguard and SFA CPR-C are required.
• 3+ years of teaching experience as a swim instructor with a proven track record.
• Strong interpersonal skills to mentor and coach new instructors.
• Professional demeanor with calm, responsible handling of challenging situations.
• Previous competitive swimmer is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct swimming lessons for students of all ages and skill levels; demonstrate techniques, strokes, and safety practices.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve.
• Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing water safety protocols.
• Foster a positive and inclusive work culture among the instructor team; encourage teamwork and learning.
• Keep track of student progress, provide feedback, and celebrate milestones as students master new skills.
• Act as a substitute instructor as needed.
