Job summary

Dillon Consulting Limited in Canada is seeking a Survey CAD Technician (Intermediate/Senior) to join the Reality Capture Team within the Data Integration Services Practice. You will prepare advanced survey calculations, mentor junior staff, and support public-sector clients.

Based in Halifax or Saint John, NB, or Halifax, NS, you will work with Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS to deliver precise 3D models and digital deliverables, while contributing to drafting workflows and data management.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Geography, Surveying, Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10+ years of professional field surveying experience, preferably in consulting or equivalent.
• Demonstrated abilities with Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit are assets.
• GIS software experience (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online) is an asset.
• Strong report writing, organization, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive processed geospatial data to calculate survey plans and review building plans.
• Build and manipulate digital terrain surfaces and 3D models using drafting software.
• Provide senior-level support on coordinate systems, datums, and survey data adjustments.
• Manage import/export of geospatial data and CAD drafting workflows.
• Evaluate new geospatial tools and cloud data platforms.
• Oversee CAD drawing quality and prepare digital deliverables.
• Organize and archive digital survey records and drawing databases.
• GIS technical support is considered an asset.
