SURTECO is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to lead planning, optimization and performance across plants, warehouses and products. You will align sourcing, production scheduling, inventory control and order fulfillment with suppliers, customers and internal teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Science or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in supply chain manufacturing.
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and optimize materials, production scheduling and inventory levels.
  • Coordinate sourcing strategies to meet growth and procurement needs.
  • Schedule work orders to balance customer demand and production efficiency.
  • Maintain BOMs and part data in the ERP system and ensure accurate inventory.
  • Monitor shipping and reporting to support inventory control and CI initiatives.

Salary Range: CA$90,000.00 To CA$175,000.00 Annually

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our team! This position reports to the General Manager.

The Senior Supply Chain Manager is accountable for the planning, optimization, and performance delivery of the supply chain activities for the assigned plants, warehouses, and products. This role will work effectively with stakeholders involved in these activities, such as commercial, manufacturing, logistics, 3rd party product suppliers, co-producers and service providers for delivery. Execution of the supply chain involves the integration of actionable plans for optimizing the sourcing of materials, planning and scheduling of production, scheduling of product movements (intermediate and finished products), optimizing inventory, and fulfillment of customer requirements.

  • Performs analysis of part demands/usage to establish stock levels for the warehouses
  • Effectively schedules all work orders to ensure and effective balance of customer needs and production efficiencies
  • Executes the Material planning to either put work orders in for Production or to Purchase whether it is resale parts or raw materials
  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing and material control
  • Develop and execute a sourcing strategy to meet the company’s business growth and sourcing requirements
  • Responsible for accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing, in conjunction with Finance, an inventory control system. And taking action to control any inconsistencies.
  • Administer the control of the BOM’s and Part maintenance within the ERP system.
  • Monitor Shipping systems to ensure COT’s are maintained
  • Supply Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports as required
  • Drive Continuous Improvement of the business through performance assessment and identification, initiation and delivery of CI activities

Education, Experience, Specialized Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Science or related field required.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience of supply chain manufacturing
  • Experience in managing a team
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access
  • Solid working knowledge of ERP system capability and practice
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Effective problem solving abilities
  • Good writing, documentation and record keeping
  • Demonstrate very good interpersonal skills to build rapport with vendors and employees at all levels
  • Strong customer orientation
  • APICS Certification

Physical Environmental Conditions

  • Significant portion of time is spent doing sedentary work at a computer
  • Work environment may be busy with routine background noise due to the voices of other associates on production floor and/or warehouse
