Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience.
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role across multiple sites.
• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or related field.
• Designation such as SCMP, CSCP, or CPSM is a plus.
• Experience leading ERP and process-improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for supply chain operations and build a high-performing team.
• Own supplier relationships end-to-end—sourcing, negotiation, qualification, and performance management.
• Develop contingency plans to protect against material shortages and supply disruptions.
• Set inventory strategy balancing service levels with working capital and drive accuracy.
• Oversee materials planning, demand forecasting, and inbound/outbound logistics.
• Manage subcontracted and outsourced manufacturing relationships.
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives across materials, logistics, and inventory.
• Drive ERP and process improvements, building dashboards and reporting for decisions.
• Identify supply chain risk and lead mitigation and continuity planning.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales; contribute to S&OP.

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in the Greater Vancouver area, in the manufacturing space, for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join their leadership team.

This is a senior leadership role overseeing purchasing, inventory, materials planning, and logistics across the organization's manufacturing operations, with a team of supply chain and purchasing professionals reporting in.

Key Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for supply chain operations and build a high-performing purchasing and materials team
• Own supplier relationships end-to-end — sourcing, negotiation, qualification, and ongoing performance management
• Develop contingency plans to protect against material shortages and supply disruptions
• Set inventory strategy that balances service levels with working capital, and drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts and process improvements
• Oversee materials planning, demand forecasting, and inbound/outbound logistics to keep production on schedule
• Manage subcontracted and outsourced manufacturing relationships
• Lead cost-reduction initiatives across materials, logistics, and inventory
• Drive ERP and process improvements, building dashboards and reporting to support decision-making
• Identify supply chain risk and lead mitigation and business continuity planning
• Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales, and contribute to sales & operations planning

What You Bring

• 10+ years of progressive supply chain and procurement experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role spanning multiple sites
• Manufacturing background preferred
• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, engineering, or a related field; MBA an asset
• A designation such as SCMP, CSCP, or CPSM is a plus
• Strong track record in supplier negotiation and contract management
• Experience leading ERP and process improvement initiatives
• Strategic thinker with strong financial acumen and a bias toward continuous improvement
