Job summary

Worley in Edmonton, AB is seeking a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to lead our Subcontracts team for major industrial construction projects. You will develop subcontracting strategies, manage RFQ/RFP processes, and negotiate critical agreements to drive project success.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of subcontract or contract management experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders across project teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of subcontract, procurement, or contract management experience.
• Experience supporting major industrial construction or capital projects.
• Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial skills.
• The ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop subcontracting and sourcing strategies with project teams.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
• Build scopes of work and commercial agreements with internal stakeholders.
• Identify, evaluate, and engage qualified subcontractors.
• Manage subcontract performance, changes, invoicing, claims, and closeout activities.
• Provide contract and commercial guidance to project teams.
• Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives.
