Job summary

Egis in Ottawa, Ontario seeks a Structural Team Lead to guide a team of structural engineers and BIM technologists on buildings and infrastructure projects, ensuring design quality, code compliance, schedules and budgets. You will oversee design through all phases, coordinate with clients and regulators, mentor staff, and identify opportunities for project development.

A P.Eng and 10+ years of experience are required; bilingualism is an asset.

Qualifications

• University degree in Structural Engineering.
• Ontario P.Eng. designation in good standing.
• 10+ years of structural engineering design experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with construction stakeholders.
• Knowledge of OBC, NBC, CSA standards and applicable regulations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, SAFE, S-FRAME, SAP, WoodWorks, ETABS.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and oversee project delivery from design to closeout.
• Manage team resources, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Prepare, review, and seal structural designs and related submissions.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide construction and design reviews and quality assurance.
• Mentor engineers and support professional development.
• Identify business development opportunities and support client relationships.
