Job summary

BrandSafway Group in Canada is seeking an experienced engineer to supervise and carry out structural design work to meet client needs and ensure compliance with professional engineering and safety standards.

You will supervise complex design assignments on multiple projects, review work for accuracy, provide training to junior engineers, and travel to sites as required while collaborating with sales and projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with a professional license.
• Full membership in a recognized professional engineering association.
• 5–10 years of post-graduate experience in relevant field, preferably shoring/forming & access scaffolding.
• Good written and oral communication skills (English).
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit/Inventor and MS Office.
• Experience with structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and/or conduct complex design/engineering assignments on multiple projects.
• Monitor work schedule to ensure on-time completion.
• Review work for accuracy against technical specs and company standards.
• Provide technical guidance and training for less experienced engineers.
• Check, review, and approve application drawings.
• Visit construction sites and carry out inspections as required.
• Collaborate with sales on engineering designs utilizing Aluma products.
• Provide backup support to senior engineer and engineering manager.
• Occasional travel to branch offices to provide engineering support.
