Job summary

AlumaSafway seeks an experienced engineer to supervise and carry out complex design/engineering assignments, ensuring compliance with client specifications and safety standards across multiple projects in Canada.

The role requires a Bachelor degree in engineering with a professional license and 5–10 years of relevant experience in shoring, forming and scaffolding products, plus strong English communication and software skills (AutoCAD, Revit, Inventor, MS Office).

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering or equivalent, with appropriate license.
• Full membership in a recognized professional engineering association.
• 5–10 years of postgraduate experience in relevant field, preferably in shoring, forming and access scaffolding products.
• Good written and oral communication skills (English).
• Sound working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit/Inventor and MS Office.
• Good working knowledge of structural analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, co-ordinate and/or conduct complex design/engineering assignments on multiple projects.
• Monitor work schedule to ensure work is completed on time.
• Review work for accuracy and to ensure it meets technical specifications and company standards.
• Provide technical support/training for less experienced engineers, trainees and designers.
• Check, review, and approve application drawings.
• Visit construction project sites and carry out inspections as required.
• Work closely with sales to design utilizing company products.
• Provide backup support to senior engineer and manager.
• Occasional travel to branch offices for engineering support.
