Job summary

PERI is seeking a Designer in Canada to develop safe, cost-effective formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions based on customer requirements and project specs. The role involves preparing detailed design drawings and material take-offs, with potential for custom designs under supervision.

You will collaborate with engineers and external teams, attend customer meetings as you gain experience, and mentor junior designers while maintaining quality documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in civil engineering or diploma in civil engineering technology.
• 0–3+ years of experience in structural engineering or construction.
• Familiarity with structural drawings and construction sequencing helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop formwork, shoring, and scaffolding solutions for various construction projects.
• Produce general arrangement drawings in 2D/3D.
• Collaborate with technical sales consultants to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and design expectations.
• Ensure compliance with CSA, OHSA, and applicable building codes.
