Job summary

DesignPoint in Bedford, Nova Scotia is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join the team. The successful candidate will work with principals and senior staff on a wide scope of municipal/civil projects, including infrastructure master planning, land development, and structural design.

This role requires a P.Eng. with 20+ years consulting experience, Nova Scotia registration or eligible, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• University graduate with a degree in civil (structural) engineering.
• Minimum 20 years as a P.Eng. with structural engineering in consulting.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia (or eligible).
• Strong written and oral communication in English.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Desire to collaborate with principals and grow with a local firm.

Responsibilities

• Structural field inspection.
• Using structural design analysis and modeling software.
• Design checks on structural elements for other projects.
• Preparing letters, reports, and proposals.
• Project management.
