Job summary
Stantec is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to join the Fredericton, NB structural team with flexibility to work from Dartmouth, NS or St. John’s, NL offices.
The role involves leading design of structural components for diverse projects, performing advanced analyses, and guiding a team on engineering deliverables. Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a Canadian PE license, and a minimum of eight years of experience in structural engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in a Canadian province and eligible for licensure in NB, NS and NL.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in design of structural components for heavy industrial and power projects.
- Perform preliminary and detailed structural analysis and design.
- Develop designs through calculations, sketches, models and diagrams.
- Coordinate with project teams and external consultants to meet scope, budget and schedule.
- Mentor junior engineers and support staff in project delivery.
- Ensure QA/QC on engineering outputs and adherence to codes.
