Job summary

EastPoint Engineering Limited is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Nova Scotia. You will participate in all project phases from proposals to geotechnical investigations and multidisciplinary design, taking on project responsibility within a small, focused team.

You will coordinate field investigations, prepare reports, and mentor junior staff while helping develop client relationships across Canada. This role requires travel and a P.Eng.

Qualifications

• Registered as P.Eng. in Nova Scotia or eligible to register with Engineers Nova Scotia.
• 5+ years of geotechnical field investigation experience and report preparation.
• PDA or construction monitoring experience is an asset.
• Experience with borehole logging software like gINT or RSLog.
• Strong communication and ability to travel across Canada.
• Must have a valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and supervise geotechnical field investigations including drilling, lab sampling, and field testing.
• Prepare Geotechnical Investigation Reports with interpretation of soil and rock data, recommendations for foundations and construction.
• Assist multidisciplinary team with subsurface challenges and geotechnical guidance.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
• Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports.
• Develop and maintain client relationships with the growing team.
