Entuitive Corporation in Edmonton is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team. You will lead design efforts, coordinate drawings with BIM, and mentor junior staff while engaging with clients to resolve design challenges.

The role emphasizes delivering high-quality projects, collaborating across disciplines, and maintaining a strong track record of on-time, on-budget delivery in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional structural engineering experience in the AEC industry.
• Professional Engineer status in the Province of Alberta.
• Knowledge of the appropriate building codes.
• Strong project management capability with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Knowledge and interest related to embodied carbon is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Structural engineering design and calculations for columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Design using steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel, and wood.
• Coordinate drawings with BIM technologists and the engineering team.
• Conduct field reviews and contract administration duties.
• Draft project-related correspondence as needed.
• Lead internal design teams and oversee design engineers.
• Lead client meetings and provide status updates.
• Review architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
• Use QA tools and submit checklists to the project engineer.
• Mentor junior staff to uphold standards.
