Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to contribute to the design of building structures and lead multidisciplinary teams. You will analyze, design, and detail structural systems for commercial, residential and institutional projects while ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Technology with 10+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate holds a diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or Architectural Technology.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in structural analysis and design of commercial or institutional buildings.
• Strong leadership, communication and project management skills with mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute design for structural engineering projects including analysis and detailing of steel, concrete, timber, and composite systems.
• Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documentation.
• Conduct structural analysis and assessments to ensure safety and code compliance.
• Lead coordination with clients, consultants, architects, contractors and regulatory agencies.
• Provide mentorship to junior and intermediate staff and guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Support project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and municipal requirements.
• Contribute to proposals and business development through client engagement and technical input.
