We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Statutory Accountant to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of professionals and be part of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with statutory accounting principles, analyzing financial data, and preparing accurate financial reports. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Statutory Accountant, you will be tasked with

• Preparing and reviewing statutory financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Analyzing general ledger accounts, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures.
• Preparing and reviewing invoices, checks, and invoice statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Handling both routine and non-routine accounting activities, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Collaborating with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.
• Assisting with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
• Providing support and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
• Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analyses as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for the Senior Statutory Accountant position, you must possess the following

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or equivalent qualification is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in statutory accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to ethical practices.
