Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior SQL Server / SSIS ETL Developer in Halifax, Canada to design, build, and optimize enterprise data warehouse solutions. You will work with SSIS, T-SQL, and ETL processes across the SDLC, collaborating with global teams to deliver reliable data integration and analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in SQL Server development and ETL solutions.
Strong experience with SSIS and T-SQL development.
Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other enterprise environments.
Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain ETL solutions using SSIS.
Build and support enterprise data warehouses by integrating data from multiple sources.
Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data transformation logic.
Create reliable batch processing solutions to support reporting and analytics.
Perform ETL activities ensuring data quality and integrity.
Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL jobs using SQL Server Agent.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Prepare deployment guides and technical documentation.
