Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is seeking a database professional to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Microsoft SQL Server databases that support business-critical applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting business-critical applications.
• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and database objects.
• Design and optimize relational data models, including tables, relationships, primary/foreign keys, constraints, and indexing strategies.
• Perform advanced SQL performance tuning, including execution-plan analysis, query optimization, index tuning, statistics management, and identification of blocking/deadlocks.
• Develop ETL/data integration processes for loading and transforming data between source systems, staging areas, and target databases.

Role Description

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting business-critical applications.
• Develop complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and database objects.
• Design and optimize relational data models, including tables, relationships, primary/foreign keys, constraints, and indexing strategies.
• Perform advanced SQL performance tuning, including execution-plan analysis, query optimization, index tuning, statistics management, and identification of blocking/deadlocks.
• Design efficient solutions for high-volume transactional and analytical workloads.
• Develop ETL/data integration processes for loading and transforming data between source systems, staging areas, and target databases.
• Implement incremental loads, CDC/change tracking, data reconciliation, and historical-data processing.
• Perform database performance monitoring and troubleshoot CPU, memory, I/O, locking, blocking, and long-running-query issues.

Salary Range

CA$ 100,000 - CA$ 130,000 Per Year
