Roles and Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server / SSIS ETL Developer with expertise in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL Server, SSIS, T-SQL, ETL development, data warehousing, and performance optimization. The role requires collaboration with business stakeholders, analysts, and global development teams to deliver scalable and reliable data integration solutions.

Required Experience

• 10+ years of experience in SQL Server development and ETL solutions.
• Strong experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and T-SQL development.
• Experience working in Banking, Financial Services, Healthcare, or other enterprise environments.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Build and support enterprise data warehouse solutions by integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and data transformation logic.
• Create reliable and scalable batch processing solutions to support business reporting and analytics requirements.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities while ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Monitor, schedule, and troubleshoot ETL jobs using SQL Server Agent.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical ETL and database solutions.
• Participate in data modeling, ETL design, development, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
• Perform query tuning, index optimization, and SSIS package performance enhancements to improve data processing efficiency.
• Manage source code versioning, deployments, and release activities using TFS/Git.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions to improve system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business users, and offshore/onshore stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and support documents.

The annual salary for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
