Job summary

TD Bank Group is seeking a Senior SQL Developer / Data Engineer in Toronto, ON. You will design and implement scalable data solutions, optimize SQL performance, and contribute to data warehouse and big data modernization efforts within the Treasury & Balance Sheet Management Technology team.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders and engineers to deliver reliable data platforms, pipelines, and reporting capabilities using SQL Server, ETL, and cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software development, database engineering, or data engineering.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft SQL Server development experience, including complex SQL development.
• Experience designing scalable data models and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Expertise in query optimization, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and troubleshooting.
• Experience building ETL/data integration solutions and working with big data tech.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable database solutions and data pipelines.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and ETL processes.
• Perform data modeling, database design, and performance tuning in large data environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver reporting, data integration, and analytics solutions.
• Support production investigations, root-cause analysis, and platform enhancements.
