Job summary

TD Bank is seeking a Software Engineer III in Toronto, ON to design, develop, deploy, and support secure enterprise integration capabilities for the Data Compass platform. You will build API services, integrate with Collibra and PostgreSQL, and apply AI-assisted development tooling to accelerate delivery.

You will participate in CI/CD, implement secure authentication and RBAC, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade software.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js/TypeScript and REST API development.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL, Git and CI/CD.
• Experience implementing OAuth2/OpenID Connect, JWT authentication, RBAC security models, and enterprise integrations.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and Jira.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Node.js backend services and enterprise integration components.
• Build secure REST APIs for metadata search, retrieval, creation, updates, and integrations.
• Implement authentication and authorization with OAuth2/OpenID Connect, JWT, and RBAC.
• Develop integrations with Collibra, PostgreSQL, and enterprise services.
• Create reusable, scalable, secure software components aligned with enterprise standards.
• Create automated unit, integration, API, and regression tests.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and production releases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, and production issues.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, security teams, platform teams, and developers.
