Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Solutions Architect (Salesforce) to join our team supporting a Major Retail company’s Salesforce Center of Excellence (CoE). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Salesforce administration, implementation, and project management, with a strong focus on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Platform, and CRM Analytics. The candidate will work closely with the Principal Solutions Architect and other stakeholders to plan, execute, and enhance Salesforce solutions, ensuring seamless delivery of projects and proactive issue resolution.


The candidate must possess excellent communication skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. They should be adept at presenting technical and design documents to business stakeholders, handling escalations, and leading critical releases.


Key Responsibilities:

Technical Responsibilities:
  1. Salesforce Administration & Implementation:
    1. Administer and configure Salesforce platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Platform, CRM Analytics).
    2. Plan and execute enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
    3. Perform deployments, rollbacks, and manage release processes.
  2. Solution Design & Documentation:
    1. Create and present Key Design Documents (KDD) and Technical Design Documents (TDD) to stakeholders.
    2. Well versed with High Level Design & Low Level Design.
    3. Ability to develop Functional and Technical diagrams to illustrate solution approach.
    4. Good understanding of Story Point Estimation & T-Shirt sizing.
    5. Design scalable and sustainable solutions that meet business needs.
  3. Project Management & Execution:
    1. Assist in planning and efficiently executing projects and tasks with great attention to detail.
    2. Proactively monitor and address risks/issues well ahead of time.
    3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
  4. Troubleshooting & Escalations:
    1. Act as the primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
    2. Escalate issues to Salesforce support and manage resolutions effectively.
  5. Release Management:
    1. Handle critical releases and ensure smooth deployment processes.
    2. Conduct post-release validation and address any issues promptly.

Non-Technical Responsibilities:
  1. Stakeholder Management:
    1. Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and present solutions.
    2. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external teams.
  2. Communication & Collaboration:
    1. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    2. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations with stakeholders.
  3. Leadership & Mentorship:
    1. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
    2. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  4. Continuous Improvement:
    1. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    2. Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
  1. Salesforce Expertise:
    1. Deep knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, Platform, and CRM Analytics.
    2. Strong understanding of Salesforce administration, configuration, and customization.
  2. Development & Integration:
    1. Experience with Salesforce integrations, APIs, and third-party tools.
    2. Familiarity with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL.
  3. Deployment & Release Management:
    1. Proficiency in Salesforce deployment tools (e.g., Salesforce DX, Change Sets, Copado).
    2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  4. Analytics & Reporting:
    1. Expertise in CRM Analytics (formerly Tableau CRM) and Salesforce reporting tools.
Non-Technical Skills:
  1. Communication:
    1. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
    2. Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  2. Problem-Solving:
    1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    2. Proactive in identifying and mitigating risks.
  3. Project Management:
    1. Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
    2. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  4. Leadership:
    1. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
    2. Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Salesforce certifications such as:
    1. Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect.
    2. Salesforce Certified Administrator, Platform Developer, or Consultant.
  2. Experience working in the retail industry or with large enterprise clients.
  3. Familiarity with Salesforce Governance and Best Practices.
  4. Knowledge on Revenue Cloud, Data Cloud and Agentforce would be an added advantage.
