Senior Solution Architect (Remote - US or Canada)

One of our partner companies is currently looking for a Senior Solution Architect based in Canada or the United States.

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be embedded within client organizations to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of advanced data and AI infrastructure based on PostgreSQL. This hands-on role combines technical expertise with client engagement, enabling you to deliver resilient, scalable solutions that meet business-critical objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to transform data architecture, enhance performance, and support long-term operational success. Your ability to bridge complex technology with practical outcomes will be essential in driving meaningful change and innovation for the clients you serve.

Accountabilities:

1. Design, build, and optimize data and AI solutions tailored to client needs
2. Lead deployment and integration of PostgreSQL-based systems in diverse environments
3. Collaborate with clients to understand business challenges and deliver technical solutions
4. Ensure high availability and performance through monitoring and automation
5. Troubleshoot performance issues and implement system optimizations
6. Develop training materials and best practices to enable client teams
7. Stay current with advancements in PostgreSQL and contribute to internal knowledge sharing

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of experience in database engineering, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL
2. Proficiency in SQL tuning, PL/pgSQL, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CNCF tools
3. Experience with PostgreSQL extensions (e.g., PGVector) is a plus
4. Solid understanding of performance profiling, high-availability, and database security
5. Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions
6. Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting
7. Strong communication skills and a client-centric approach
8. Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, government) is a bonus
