Job title: Senior Software Engineer - Enterprise SaaS

Comp: $175K-$220K CAD + Bonus + Equity

Location: Remote, Canada

Our client is a growing software business building products for enterprise customers in regulated markets.

Their platform helps teams manage complex workflows, improve data accuracy, automate manual processes, and support business-critical operations.

They’re now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join a product engineering team working on a complex, data-heavy SaaS platform.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys building reliable, well‑tested systems in a detail‑driven environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and customer‑facing teams to turn complex requirements into scalable, production‑ready software.

What the role looks like:

• Designing, building, and maintaining features across a modern SaaS platform
• Working across backend systems, frontend interfaces, data workflows, and integrations
• Building scalable APIs, services, and data‑driven product functionality
• Translating complex product requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions
• Collaborating with product and customer‑facing teams to understand user needs and improve the platform
• Building automated tests to support accuracy, reliability, and long‑term maintainability
• Contributing to architecture discussions around data models, services, integrations, and system design
• Supporting high engineering standards across code quality, testing, documentation, and delivery
• Working as part of a distributed, remote‑first team

What they’re looking for:

• 5+ years’ professional software engineering experience
• Experience building software in SaaS, fintech, enterprise software, or another complex product environment
• Strong backend engineering experience, ideally with C#, .NET, Java, or a similar object‑oriented language
• Experience building APIs, services, integrations, and data‑heavy product features
• Experience working with relational databases and/or NoSQL data stores
• Good understanding of software design principles, scalable architecture, and modern engineering practices
• Experience across backend and frontend product development
• Strong unit and integration testing experience
• Ability to work closely with product managers, engineers, and non‑technical stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a remote, distributed team environment
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Useful experience:

• React, TypeScript, or similar frontend experience
• Cloud platform experience, ideally across modern compute, storage, and database services
• Experience with event‑driven architecture, messaging, or streaming technologies
• Experience with ORM tools and database schema design
• Experience building software where accuracy, reliability, security, and data quality are important
• Exposure to regulated, data‑heavy, or business‑critical software environments
