Intact Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a Data Security Project to join our growing team. You will analyze system needs, develop specifications, code, test, and debug under supervision while ensuring design quality and effective collaboration with users and colleagues.

The role requires an undergraduate CS degree, 8+ years of development experience, and strong analytical abilities.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 8 years of development experience.
• Ability to analyze and synthesize data.
• Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
• Team-oriented and detail oriented.
• Quebec candidates must be bilingual with English colleagues across the country.
• Eligible to work in Canada (no Canadian work experience required).

Responsibilities

• Analyze system and coding needs to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Develop system specifications, code, test, and debug under general supervision.
• Master system features and explain them to colleagues and users.
• Translate requirements into technical specifications and components.
• Organize and manage production sessions.
• Design and model solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements.
• Review design as part of deliverables (Code and Design Quality).
• Develop and support complex components.
• Provide guidance to the project team to ensure code quality and deadlines.
• Write unit and integration tests for new development.
• Participate in regression testing strategies to improve stability.
• Provide support and maintenance (level 1) for the application and resolve complex anomalies.
