The ASR (Automatic Speech Recognition) Systems team plays a key role within the larger Speech team, in particular by building and supporting production services that deliver our proprietary ASR capabilities to external partners. This role focuses on the production ASR system architecture and how it integrates with other partner-facing services, as well as improving how new partners and products are onboarded to our platform.

What You\'ll Do
  • Contribute to our core ASR system written in C++, in particular to support completing migration to our new Polaris ASR platform, and to streamline onboarding new partners and products to Polaris
  • Contribute to other next-generation ASR, NLU, and TTS services written in Python
What You\'ll Bring

Required :

  • 5+ years of experience writing C++ for complex production systems
  • 2+ years of experience writing Python for service-oriented architecture, data analysis, and task automation
  • Experience working on real-time software systems
  • Experience in preparing system architecture diagrams and phased delivery plans
  • Experience helping to coordinate and align large projects that span multiple teams
  • Passion for automated testing, deployment automation, and proactive production monitoring and alerting
  • High standards for system design, code quality, and continuous improvement
  • Skill in methodically solving complex problems from first principles
Nice-To-Have
  • Experience with asynchronous programming in Python
  • Experience working on software systems or tools that process audio data
  • Experience using Docker and Kubernetes to automate deployments
Location and Work Arrangement

This Canada-based position is available for remote work across the Eastern timezone. Employees within a 100-kilometer radius of our Toronto office are expected to work from the office on three pre-scheduled “core days” each month to encourage cross-team connection and in-person collaboration.
