Job summary

OSI Maritime Systems is seeking a seasoned software leader to drive end-to-end development of mission-critical navigation and tactical software. You will guide teams through requirements, design, implementation, testing, and release, ensuring robust, scalable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and partner with project managers to align priorities, while maintaining rigorous engineering discipline and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience including leadership.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with Windows-based application development.
• Solid understanding of software design, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Proven ability to deliver complex, high-quality software on schedule.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and mentoring skills.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software development (requirements, design, implementation, testing, release).
• Provide technical direction and prioritization to developers, testers, and leads.
• Deliver high-quality software with predictable timelines and strong engineering discipline.
• Ensure designs meet architectural standards and quality expectations.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks early to protect delivery.
• Partner with Software Project Managers and cross-functional teams to align on scope and priorities.
• Drive improvements in testing, automation, and development practices.
• Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
