Job summary

Foundant Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior software leader to design and implement solutions across product teams. You will own shared services, lead architectural decisions, and deliver hands-on code at every level of seniority while advancing AI-assisted development.

You will collaborate across products and domains, ensuring production readiness and guiding teams toward scalable, reliable software that supports the company’s mission and impact.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including principal/staff-level work.
• Mastery of architectural patterns and the judgment to apply them to apps and services.
• Deep expertise in one or two technologies from the stack and ability to learn others quickly.
• Proven experience owning production services, including reliability and incident response.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in production environments.
• Able to diagnose complex issues spanning multiple components or teams.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product teams to tackle hard technical problems and deliver working code.
• Own architectural decisions at both application and service levels with production-readiness.
• Oversee changes to shared services and provide ongoing production care.
• Diagnose cross-component and cross-team architectural issues.
• Lead solution design for significant initiatives with clear direction for teams.
• Set standards for AI-assisted development and ensure responsible usage.
• Move fluidly across products and domains to raise team capabilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
