Job summary

Symbiotic Digital is seeking a Senior ServiceNow specialist to build custom portals, workflows, and integrations while guiding architecture and governance across the platform. The role combines hands-on development with strategic roadmap work to deliver scalable, secure solutions for clients in Canada.

The candidate will administer ServiceNow in complex environments, manage upgrades and security, and provide technical leadership during deployments and migrations as part of a hybrid engagement

Qualifications

• Experience developing ServiceNow portals and Customer Service Management (CSM).
• Strong SDLC knowledge with Agile/DevOps practices.
• 5+ years in ServiceNow platform experience including architecture and governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom ServiceNow applications, workflows, integrations, automations, and platform enhancements.
• Lead solution design, architecture reviews, and governance for platform modernization.
• Administer ServiceNow in complex enterprise environments including upgrades, releases, security, and health.
• Provide deployment support and change management for development and admin work.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid. Candidate is required tocome to the office 5 days a week.

Role Overview

The Sr. Software Developer will design, implement, andcontinuously expand data pipelines by performing extraction, transformation,and loading activities. The role is required to translate technical systemsspecifications into working, tested applications.

This includes developing detailed programmingspecifications, writing and/or generating code, compiling data-driven programs,maintaining applications, and conducting unit tests. The role also resolves andtroubleshoots technical problems that arise during the use and operation ofsoftware packages, including providing technical assistance duringimplementation, conversion, and migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design,implement, and continuously expand data pipelines through extraction,transformation, and loading activities.
  
• Translatetechnical systems specifications into working, tested applications.
  
• Developdetailed programming specifications.
  
• Compiledata-driven programs.
  
• Maintainapplications and conduct unit testing.
  
• Resolveand troubleshoot technical problems arising during the use and operationof software packages.

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

ServiceNow Development - 40%

• Experiencedeveloping custom applications, workflows, integrations, automationsolutions, and platform enhancements.
  
• Strongunderstanding of SDLC, Agile/DevOps methodologies, testing, deployment,and code management practices.
  
• Abilityto design, develop, support, and continuously improve scalable ServiceNowsolutions that meet business and operational requirements.
  

ServiceNow Architecture, Strategy & Roadmap - 30%

• 5+years of ServiceNow platform experience, including 3-5 years in solutionarchitecture and platform governance roles.
  
• Demonstratedexperience developing ServiceNow roadmaps, architecture standards, andplatform modernization strategies aligned to business objectives.
  
• Strongknowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, CSDM, CMDB, integrations,data models, security, and governance.
  
• Experienceleading solution design, architecture reviews, technical governance, andplatform transformation initiatives.
  
• Abilityto translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable, andfuture-state ServiceNow solutions.
  
• Knowledgeof ServiceNow AI, Automation Engine, Predictive Intelligence, VirtualAgent, and emerging platform capabilities.
  

ServiceNow System Administration - 30%

• 5+years of experience administering ServiceNow in complex enterpriseenvironments.
  
• Experiencemanaging platform upgrades, patching, release management, cloning,security, and instance health.
  
• Strongknowledge of user administration, roles, groups, access controls, systemconfiguration, and platform governance.
  
• Experienceensuring platform availability, performance, reliability, and operationalexcellence.
  

Must-Haves

• Developmentexperience with ServiceNow portals and Customer Service Management (CSM).
  
• ServiceNowCertified Implementation Specialist - Vulnerability Response (CIS-VR).
  

Certifications Preferred

• ServiceNowCertified System Administrator (CSA).
  
• ServiceNowCertified Implementation Specialist in ITSM, ITOM, Security Operations,IRM, or equivalent.
  
• ServiceNowCertified Technical Architect (CTA) considered a strong asset.
  
• ITILv4 Foundation or higher certification.
