Job summary

Akkodis is seeking an accomplished UX/UI and Service Design professional to drive human-centred design across enterprise digital services in a hybrid Calgary-based role. You will plan and execute user research, develop journey maps and service blueprints, and produce IA, flows, wires, and prototypes for accessible, responsive web platforms.

With at least 10 years in UX/UI and 5 years in digital transformation within government or equivalent contexts, you’ll collaborate with product managers,

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive UX, UI, and Service Design experience in complex enterprise environments.
• Minimum 5 years supporting digital transformation initiatives within government, public sector, crown corporations, or comparable environments.
• Post-secondary education in design or related field.
• Experience designing enterprise-grade digital services and accessibility-compliant interfaces.

Client Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid Role): 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

Note on Assignment Type

This position is provisionally Hybrid, requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead human-centred design activities across ASHC digital services.
• Plan and conduct user research, interviews, workshops, usability testing, and discovery activities.
• Develop journey maps, service blueprints, and future-state service models.
• Create UX deliverables including information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Design accessible, responsive user interfaces for web and enterprise platforms.
• Develop and maintain enterprise design systems and design standards.
• Apply WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards throughout the design lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects, and QA teams.
• Facilitate workshops, design thinking sessions, and stakeholder engagements.
• Support developer handoff, design QA, and validation activities.
• Measure user outcomes and drive continuous service improvement.
