What will you do?

• Shape the future of security at RBC by designing, developing, and maintaining secure, innovative solutions that streamline processes, boost efficiency, and unlock new possibilities.
• Lead the development of cutting‑edge tools that enhance decision‑making, automate tasks, and drive positive change across the organization.
• Mentor and coach junior technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning, secure development, and collaboration within a dynamic team environment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and technical design to testing, deployment, and post‑implementation support.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including diagrams and walkthroughs, to support feedback, design, development, and debugging activities.

What do you need to succeed?

Must‑have

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Python, REST APIs, and Containers
• Knowledge of OWASP, SANS or other security‑related frameworks
• Exposure to application security best practices such as secure coding, security testing techniques and Secure Software Development Lifecycle
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, principles, and best practices
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working with cross‑functional teams

Nice‑to‑have

• Working experience on large enterprise architecture designs/architecture models/solutions
• Familiarity with Gen AI frameworks such as Langchain, and experience with building and integrating AI models into applications
