Job summary

Interpro Recycling is seeking a Commercial Account Representative to procure ferrous and non-ferrous scrap for our Regina, Winnipeg, and Thunder Bay operations. You will develop supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, monitor markets, and coordinate logistics to ensure a safe and cost-effective supply of quality scrap.

The role collaborates with Operations, Transportation, Accounting, Quality, and Mill Buyers, reporting to the Director of Material Purchasing. Travel 25%–50% is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in business development, commodity trading, customer service, scrap buying, procurement, or related experience within metals recycling or industrial materials.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or related field; equivalent combinations considered.
• Experience with ERP and/or scrap management software and working in an industrial, manufacturing, or supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase ferrous and non-ferrous scrap to support growth and production requirements.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships and identify new opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and purchasing agreements to maximize value and supply reliability.
• Monitor scrap markets and trends to support purchasing strategies.
• Coordinate material quality and inbound logistics to ensure timely delivery.
