Job summary

Interpro Recycling is seeking a Processor to join our team in Winnipeg. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for processing vehicles, draining fluids, and removing non-ferrous materials. The role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.

No prior experience is required, though experience in manufacturing or scrap yards is an asset. A Class 5 license to operate yard vehicles is required, and opportunities for apprenticeship and career

Qualifications

• High School diploma or CAEC/GED or must pass a company comprehension assessment.
• No experience required; prior manufacturing/scrap yard experience is a plus.
• Loader operator experience is considered an asset.
• Must have a Class 5 license to drive the yard vehicle.
• Able to meet physical demands and work in variable weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drain appropriate automobile fluids (gasoline, antifreeze, A/C etc.) to assist with processing of vehicles.
• Remove batteries and jacks from vehicles.
• Remove catalytic converters from vehicles as needed.
• Remove tires and rims from vehicles.
• Yard maintenance, including clean up and parts disposal.
• Vehicle inventory and record keeping.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Notify appropriate personnel of procedural abnormalities.
• Observe and follow all safety rules and regulations.
