Senior Sales Manager Job opportunity in the Capital City of Canada: We are looking for a Senior Sales Manager for an iconic hotel in the Capital City of Canada.
Main Responsibilities:
- Research assigned market to identify potential sources of business/clients within the market segment(s) assigned.
- Actively solicit business for assigned market through pre-planned personal sales calls, mailers, marketplaces, attendance at receptions, promotions, in-person meetings, etc.
- Follow up on all sales activities and log accurately all activities.
- Confirm all bookings, quotes, and negotiate rates while adhering to hotel rate structure, credit policies, and general hotel and corporate policies and procedures.
- Meet the sales quota pre-determined by the Director of Sales.
- Maintain client production tracking and re-qualify or re-solicit clients when production drops.
- Maintain close, in-person contact with clients or groups during their stay to ensure satisfaction and facilitate future re-solicitation.
- Gather and respond to client/consumer feedback to maintain product quality and standards.
- Maximize hotel revenue through sales strategies or hotel packages, including F&B sales.
- Maintain full market knowledge regarding competitors' products, rates, positioning, and policies.
- Attend trade shows and marketplaces as needed.
- Log sales reports to the DOS, outlining all sales activities accurately.
- Attend all sales meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Sales.
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to create memorable experiences.
- Excellent guest service and sales skills.
- Flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, based on upcoming events and groups.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of sales experience.
- Previous hotel catering or event venue experience is an asset.
- Experience with Opera, Microsoft Word, and Excel is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Hotel Management degree.
- Proficiency in English; French language skills are an asset.
Salary and Bonus:
80-85K + 5% bonus after three months.
