PathoScan Technologies Inc. is a startup based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, dedicated to reducing crop yield losses and enhancing food security through rapid, on-site pathogen diagnostic solutions. PathoScan’s mobile device, the PathoBox, empowers farmers, greenhouse growers, and agronomists to save costs, prevent losses, and maximize yields with timely, actionable insights. Having validated our product’s use case and secured pre-seed funding, we’re now ready to scale and bring our solution to customers across the AgTech industry.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re hiring a Senior Sales Executive to lead our customer generation and sales efforts. This is a senior-level role for an outgoing, experienced professional who can independently drive sales, contact customers, set up field trials, and represent PathoScan as the face of the company. With a dedicated operations team handling CRM and marketing materials, you’ll focus on building relationships, closing deals, and expanding our market presence.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Identify and contact potential customers, including farmers, greenhouse growers, and agronomists, to generate leads and build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet revenue goals and grow our customer base.
  • Arrange and oversee field trials to showcase the PathoBox, demonstrating its value to prospective clients.
  • Act as PathoScan’s ambassador at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings, promoting our mission and technology.
  • Provide insights from customer interactions to refine our sales approach and product offerings.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: At least 3 years of sales or business development experience in the AgTech or agricultural sectors, with a proven track record of engaging farmers, greenhouse growers, or agronomists.
  • Industry Expertise: Strong knowledge of the AgTech space, particularly in crop disease
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; adept at closing deals and working independently.
  • Personality: Outgoing, self-driven, and confident in representing the company to diverse stakeholders.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to meet customers and attend industry events.
