Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Ruby Developer to join a growing application engineering team responsible for supporting and enhancing critical enterprise applications. This role focuses on Ruby on Rails in production environments and close collaboration with SRE, DevOps, and Platform Engineering teams.

You will design, develop, and support scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and observability improvements using Dynatrace and Splunk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience building enterprise web apps, APIs, and backend services.
• Production environment troubleshooting experience.
• Background with SRE/DevOps or Production Support teams.
• Strong observability and performance monitoring with Dynatrace, Splunk, New Relic, or Datadog.
• Experience with AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and relational DBs (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MariaDB).
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and Agile methods.
• On-call support experience and large-scale enterprise apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support enterprise Ruby on Rails applications.
• Improve observability and monitor system health.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
• Contribute to CI/CD and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and Platform Engineering teams.
